Easy Baked Pumpkin Donuts

The ideal autumnal treat are these simple baked pumpkin donuts. They are flavorful, moist, and packed with all the amazing spices found in pumpkin pie. They are also healthier because they are baked rather than fried when enjoying a delicious dessert. They'll go over well with your family and friends whether you eat them for breakfast or as a snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and grease a donut pan

In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract

Mix until well combined

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined

Be careful not to overmix

Stir in the buttermilk until the batter is smooth

Spoon the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean

Remove the donuts from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Optional: You can glaze the donuts with a simple mixture of powdered sugar and milk, and add sprinkles or cinnamon sugar on top for extra flavor and decoration

Enjoy your delicious homemade baked pumpkin donuts!
