Pollock Paint Splatter Cupcakes

These Pollock Paint Splatter Cupcakes are inspired by the abstract expressionist art of Jackson Pollock. They are a colorful and creative addition to an artist-inspired wedding cake or any event that celebrates the world of art.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Assorted food coloring various colors
  • Edible gold or silver dust optional

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a cupcake tin with cupcake liners

In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract

Mix until well combined and smooth

Divide the batter evenly into smaller bowls, one for each color you want to use for your paint splatter effect

Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix until you achieve vibrant and contrasting colors

You can use a variety of colors inspired by Jackson Pollock's art

Fill each cupcake liner with a small amount of each colored batter, alternating colors for a marbled effect

Bake in the preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean

Let the cupcakes cool completely on a wire rack

Once cooled, mix a small amount of edible gold or silver dust with a few drops of water to create a paint-like consistency

Using a clean paintbrush or a food-safe brush, splatter the edible gold or silver mixture onto the cupcakes, mimicking Jackson Pollock's iconic paint splatter art

Allow the edible paint splatters to dry before serving

Serve these vibrant Pollock Paint Splatter Cupcakes at your Jackson Pollock-inspired wedding or any artistic celebration!
