Ingredients:
- 1 box of your favorite cake mix
- 1 cup of frosting flavor of your choice
- 1 package of candy melts multiple colors
- Cake pop sticks
- Sprinkles or decorations
Instructions:
Bake the cake as directed on the package, then allow it to cool fully
In a large bowl, crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs
Mix the frosting into the cake crumbs until the mixture resembles dough
Form the mixture into tiny cake balls and arrange them on a tray covered with parchment paper
Melt some candy melts in a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave
Then, insert the tip of a cake pop stick into a melted cake ball
To set, cool the cake pops in the fridge for at least an hour
Melt the remaining candy melts into various colors, then completely coat each cake pop by dipping it into the melted candy
While the candy coating is still wet, add decorations or sprinkles
After the cake pops are done, place them upright in a block of styrofoam to let the coating fully set
Your classic cake pops are ready to be enjoyed once the coating has set
